Priority Document Content Modified by TIPO

The priority document of a patent application is used for confirming the disclosure of the patent application on the filing date. Therefore, the contents of the priority document shall be referred to the specification, abstract, claims, and necessary drawings submitted on the date on which the relative documents are first acquired by intellectual property office. Contents of amendment or modification subsequent to the filing date is not covered by the scope of the priority document. Based on the forgoing reason, as from the date of this statement being announced, regarding an application which undergoes a division or conversion, only the relative contents submitted on the filing date is to be provided in the priority document. As for the specification, claims, and necessary drawings that are submitted in a foreign language version thereof instead of a Chinese version, with a Chinese version submitted in a time period specified by TIPO, the filing date of the application is the date whereon the foreign version is submitted to TIPO, and the content of the priority document thereof shall be referred to the foreign version of the application.
